Happy New Year!

It's been said that the year 2017, in numerology, is the beginning.  Not just because it's a new year, but because the numbers all add up to ONE (2 + 0 + 1 + 7 = 10, them 1 + 0 = 1).   If you'd like to read more about the meaning of this year in numerology, you can look here.  This is a new time for certain.   I've got big plans for myself -- to grow as a partner, photographer, a business owner, a friend, a daughter, a sister, a human, you name it!   I am keeping my gaze forward and will not be looking back!

I've been wanting to try some new things this year-- so I have, and will continue to.  No more saying, "I'll try that when I have time".  I'm making the time and doing my best to put an end to my procrastination.

Here are a few abstract images of the ocean.  I've been wanting to do something like this for a long time, so lo and behold, I did!

This is the first post of the year for the 10 on 10 circle of women photographers I have been in for a few years now.  There are new faces in the group this year and I hope you'll join me in checking out their work!  Please follow around the circle of women photographers, starting with Katrina Kennedy.

Just in case you are interested, these images are made into many different products and can be seen (or purchased) on my Society 6 Page.

Thank you for stopping by!

Erica - Wow, what stunning images! Happy New Year and cheers to beginnings! I'm so happy to be part of this circle to learn about all sorts of talented folks!!
Kelly Buss - Kim--I love the abstract photos you've created. My favorite is the the last! You are so fortunate to live near the ocean, but I could see trying this technique with a hay field. Looking forward to get to know you more this year.
Luciane Steiner - So fun to play with something new, the abstracts look amazing! Love the color blend from the first ones and the textures from the last ones.
I didn't know about the numerology and will take a look at your link.
We sure need to get together asap, let me know when you'r around!
Kim Bajorek - Hi Kristina! Yes, at some point I will share how I did these. I hope to meet up with you a photographer's retreat or something. I am long overdue!!! I too love the blues in the second image and just ordered it for a wall that beckoned it in my home! Thank you for your comment!
Kristina - WOW! I love these photos and am curious to know how you achieved this abstract look. The colors are amazing and I especially love the second image...those blues...swoon! They all look like paintings. I am with you on putting an end to procrastination and trying new things and I know very little about numerology and will have to check out your link. Here's to new beginnings!
Trini - Happy New Year dear,
