Today I got to go to the Descanso Gardens in La Cañada Flintridge with my best friend and fellow 10 on 10 photographer, Kathleen Ries.   It was my first time there which is strange, considering I grew up in L.A.

It was a really good time to see the cherry blossoms and many other flowers currently in bloom, but I was a bit limited with the two lenses I brought.

Here are 10 shots from the day.

The pink in the background here is a sea of cherry blossoms.  :)

And these images show reflections of the sea of pink blossoms on the water.   In one or two images you may see the koi fish swimming too.

Spring is a week or so away, but in L.A., it is definitely here!  The weather finally warmed up to the 80's today and flowers are out in full force!

Enjoy the beginning of Spring!

Please follow around the 10 on 10 circle of fabulous women photographers starting with Bonnie Jakobsen-Martin right here!

See you next month!

Kathleen - What a beautiful day we had! I am entranced with your water images...so wonderful. The purple of the magnolia blossoms looks like a painting. Looking forward to our next outing. You are excellent company and an inspiration. xoxooo
Kim Bajorek - Thank you, Kelly! I'll look forward to seeing your Spring shots! I think you can expect more from me in the future too!
Kim Bajorek - Thanks, Bonnie. We actually had a colder than usual Winter with tons of rains. I will miss it, actually, because it sure gets hot!!
Bonnie Jakobsen-Martin - Wow, these are such beautiful spring images; those water reflection images are lovely. I cannot believe it is in the 80s there--although we had an extremely warm winter in Indiana (plus zero snow, which was a bummer). Spring is starting to show here and there but not quite like this.
Kelly Buss - Oh, the pinks in this post are gorgeous! I LOVE the soft bikers you've captured as well. Makes me want to head to the arboretum in a few things when Kansas starts to bloom soon.
Kim Bajorek - Thanks, Jen!
Jen Baxter - These are really beautiful. I especially love the reflection photos - you've inspired me to try that out with flowers. I love reflections with trees but this was so subtle and stunning. Looking forward to seeing more.
Chloe - Thanks for the pink reminder that spring is coming. Loved your photos of the pink blossoms reflecting on the water.
Kim Bajorek - Trini, you are as adorable as ever! Thank you! It was fun! I do dream about shooting with you again! Please come to the US for Bonnie's Autumn Retreat in the Adirondacks!!! New York isn't as far as California! xoox
Kim Bajorek - Thank you, Erica!
Kim Bajorek - Hi Kristina! Thank you. I brought my Velvet Lensbaby Velvet 56 (which I dropped and nearly broke!), and my 150mm macro.
Kristina - Such gorgeous photos Kim. I love the silhouette of the leaves and close up shots of the various flowers. So pretty. I have to ask, which lenses did you bring. They sure did serve you well.
Erica - Spring is here!! Yay - what lovely photos! The flowers look so delicate and soft. I love them!
Trini - Love, Love, Love - your flower pics are really stunning this time, so fairytale like, dreamy, fantabulous - yes I am out of superlatives <3 I can not wait for spring to make my part of the world shine in all the magnificent colors, smells, flowers and people smiling a whole lot more :-D Wish you a fabulous spring <3

Lots of Love from Trini in Norway <3
